About the project
This is an engineering role with responsibility for enabling cloud transformation and execution for GPC’s unified commerce platforms.
This individual must be a technologist & engineer at heart and be comfortable in enabling new technology and being hands-on with the execution of the strategy. She/He must exhibit a deep understanding of modern technology stack and agile delivery models, demonstrated focus on customer experience, and must have a proven track record of modernizing technologies.
Close collaboration and alignment with business teams, application development teams and security will be required. As such, exceptional abilities in building and maintaining strong working relationships and organizational savvy will be required. High-level communication and presentation skills are required. The ability to attract, retain, and develop engineering talent will be critical.
Your responsibilities
Create test strategy and test plans, including resource planning and test execution estimations.
Analyze software design specifications, data requirements, and software requirements, to ensure proper test coverage; maintaining test cases as functionality changes
Perform Automated and Manual testing and other duties needed as part of the overall Quality Testing Team
Analyze failures and collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure root cause is investigated and assign resources in JIRA for remediation.
Perform different types of testing: Functional, Automation, Regression, Data testing.
Responsible to provide testing evidence for compliance approval.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Collaborate and work closely with other teammates to achieve team goals and timelines
Our requirements
5+ years of testing experience
Expertise in either functional test automation or performance testing
Good experience with core Java and exposure on Python scripting
Good experience with complex SQL, experience with NoSql technologies is a plus
Experience in writing test plans, API scripts, complex SQL, and test cases
Experience driving end-to-end software quality testing, including leading testing effort
Experience in test frameworks like Junit/TestNg, BDD - Cucumber or equivalent, Selenium or equivalent.
Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
Ability to coach, mentor and pair with other team members on best practices
Hands-on experience in participating in all phases of the integration development lifecycle, including unit testing and ongoing support
Exposure to cloud implementation testing preferably GCP
