About the project

Support the delivery and maintenance of accurate business reports to measure Collections performance and enable evidence based decision-making. Contribute to building a best in class Reporting function and data platform using advanced data and analytics tools and techniques.

Your responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high quality, trusted and intuitive reports detailing business performance which inform decision making across the business.

  • Become a technical expert with the tools required for analytical and reporting purposes as well as be passionate about learning new tools and techniques.

  • Grow into a data expert for all internal and external data sources required for analytical and reporting purposes using strong data management and governance principles.

  • Develop strong relationships with report users and stakeholders to gather and build requirements and to gain confidence and trust in reporting solutions.

  • Support the identification of value adding opportunities, through proactive analytics into any variances in performance and identify underlying causes.

  • Contribute to the standardisation, automation and continuous improvement of approaches to reporting KPI’s, methodologies and data structures.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of a robust report development and communication framework prioritising development against existing report suite and keeps stakeholders informed.

  • Work with Data Engineering to improve data accuracy, availability and delivery from source to reporting.

  • Support the development of a high performing reporting team, putting in place the optimal tools, techniques and training within the team to support both central and local analysts.

  • Support the coaching and development of analysts on the reporting team.

  • Responsible for own development and for sharing best practices with colleagues.

Our requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in analytical or reporting functions, preferably in financial services.

  • Proficient with Tableau desktop or other BI visualisation tools.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS SQL stack or experience of other SQL RDBMS (SNOW SQL or PostgreSQL).

  • Preferably experienced in using Snowflake data warehouse, and deploying dbt to production using GitHub.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills.

  • Ability to communicate in English to a high standard is essential.

  • Ability to present complex and detailed data in a simple to understand and innovative way.

  • A high level of customer focus with a proven record of delivering high standards of customer experience.

  • Ability to work independently, pro-actively, multi-task (organised) and deliver.

  • Take responsibilities seriously but work can work in teams in a positive, fun manner.

  • Understanding of key commercial aspects of debt management and understand contribution to business.
