About the project
Joining thyssenkrupp IT Competence Center, you will become a part of a team of dedicated professionals, who support and develop Global IT Applications of thyssenkrupp. We promise to create an environment where each employee feels valued and our teams are driven by the group spirit.
Your responsibilities
Technical administration of operating systems for SAP applications (SUSE Linux) in cloud-based environment
Work closely with SAP Basis team to support their activities
Setup, maintain and support infrastructure for SAP High availability Solutions on SUSE and Azure
Automate high availability and disaster recovery efforts and improve overall resilience to failures.
Installation of patches and software upgrades, SSL certificates
Troubleshooting of issues (file systems, performance etc.), on-call support
OS Security and compliance assistance
System / End-to-End monitoring with cloud tools
Our requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science or related
Fluent written and spoken English (B2), German will be an asset
Advanced technical knowledge in Linux/Unix system administration (preferable SUSE Linux)
Strong knowledge in computer networks (LAN, WAN)
Strong knowledge of scripts (bash) and automation (Terraform/Ansible)
Strong knowledge in Linux issues resolution (routing, iptables etc.)
Solid Experience in OS security
Working with SUSE Peacemaker would be an asset
Experience with Azure would be an asset
