Understanding France tax structure and regulatory requirements
Prepare and Review Taxation calculations for Interim and annual Financial Statements for France region
Prepare and Review Taxation calculations and declarations to French tax Authority for all French taxes
Responsible for keeping abreast with France tax rule update
Assist to meet statutory requirements by timely submission of tax returns
Managing the process to meet or exceed SLA/PLAs
Supporting senior stakeholders in the review and sign-off of monthly/quarterly deliverables.
Supporting transfer pricing documentation and controls in connection with Fiscal department and businesses
Maintaining a strong control environment, including the management of SOX controls and co-ordinating reviews by Assurance and auditors
Supporting Finance Change on ad hoc projects and assess their impacts on tax calculation and financial reporting deliverables
Participating to Business and system changes to ensure tax requirements are considered
Accountancy qualification (e.g. Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA))
Knowledge of banking products
Knowledge of IFRS and French reporting and accounting requirements specific to tax
Experience in handling and analysis complex data sets (MS Excel)
Experience in analysis complex operations
Familiarity with Saracen, FTP and other financial systems is desirable but not essential
Preferred French speaking
French GAAP knowledge is preferable

Global Finance Operations (GFO) provides a variety of financial support services to business partners across the HSBC Group. The role is based in the Global Finance Centre in Krakow, Poland. The Centre is supporting the development of the businesses across the European region. The Centre covers all finance functions including Business Finance, Financial Control and Systems.
The Senior Tax Specialist role is based within HBCE – HSBC Continental Europe- Financial Operations. The role holder will work closely with Tax accounting team, part of Financial Accounting department, in France. The role involves interaction with various stakeholders including but not limited to French tax department, HBEU Group tax, HBCE branches and subsidiaries.
