Your responsibilities

  • Developing solutions to business requirements, aligning with IT governance, design, security policies and standards

  • Providing platform and end user support for all Microsoft 365 and enterprise services

  • Providing IT Service Management for end user services as device deployment, on-boarding and license management

  • Proactively managing, monitoring and improving existing corporate IT, cloud services and security practices across RedCompass

  • Identify opportunities to improve existing service or recommend better alternatives

  • Contribute to annual financial planning, IT strategy and financial reviews of corporate IT investment

  • Developing documentation across configuration, user training and standard operating procedures

Our requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience working in a professional IT team working with ITSM or ITIL service desk environments

  • Strong demonstratable experience & appropriate certifications deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint, Teams, Endpoint Protection, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, PowerApps and Power Automate.

  • Confident in using PowerShell to manage environments and automation through scripting

  • Experience deploying and administering Windows 10 devices in enterprise environments

  • An excitement, enthusiasm and drive to embrace new technologies and continue to develop technical skills and experience

  • Experience managing corporate devices using cloud services

  • Project delivery disciplines, organised and able to change tasks as priorities evolve

  • Prior experience managing a team or the interest and aptitude to be a good leader

  • A keen interest in learning how to support team members with ASD

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken)


  • Experience deploying and administering macOS devices in enterprise environments

  • Knowledge of other common SaaS solutions such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence & Access, GitHub and Sage

  • Experience working with and supporting agile software engineering teams

  • Familiarity using cloud environments such as AWS, Azure and GCP

  • Ability to work on multiple projects whilst working to tight deadlines

  • An interest in developing and implementing security best practice for environments, data services, devices and VPN’s

  • Experience managing ‘Bring your own devices’ (BYOD) using cloud services

  • Knowledge of digital whiteboards and VTC equipment for meeting and conference rooms

  • Appreciation of GDPR and ISO standards such as 27001 & 27017

The Senior Technical Support Engineer role requires an experienced, enthusiastic technology evangelist who will help RedCompass maximise the value from our existing technology investment and proactively identify new technology solutions for the future. As a technical subject matter expert, you will be fluent in the Microsoft Enterprise product suite and experienced working with other enterprise products and services.

Project delivery and good communication skills are vital for the position as you play a critical role in maintaining robust support services, managing, and overseeing the work of your team as you work together to evaluate, design, and implement new enterprise capabilities for RedCompass. As Senior Engineer you will also contribute to the development and implementation of RedCompass Corporate IT Strategy.

As the Operation function continues to grow, there will be opportunities to move into more senior technical or leadership positions.
