    Senior Test Automation Engineer - Digital Client Experience

    As a Senior Test Automation Engineer in Digital and Data group, you’ll drive test automation on Digital and Data groups technology projects. This Digital and Data initiative supports multiple business lines by providing a variety of services and products ranging from client reporting to client information and delivery applications for critical business domains like trade, positions and transactions etc. We proud ourselves with usage of technologies ranging from Mainframes to modern day Java, scripting and UI frameworks. Your knowledge of software QA and specifically Selenium Webdriver, Open Source frameworks, frontend and backend testing experience; will enable you to multi-task in a fast-paced environment driven to build automation frameworks and develop scripts to support testing functions. To be successful, you’ll need to have existing experience in both test automation (majority) and manual software testin

    Area of responsibility:

    • Assist in creating automation test strategy
    • Develop automated test cases for system integration and regression testing
    • Create and execute SQL scripts for data validation and creation
    • Execute automated test cases as per the Quality Assurance plan for the project
    • Understand usage of Test tools used for each project and apply accordingly
    • Develop and provide coaching and training to testing teams
    • Maintain test automation tools, test environments and frameworks
    • Perform Product analysis and requirements clarification for ease of Understanding and automation
    • Perform automation test results analysis post execution of testing and provide feedback on areas of improvements in code and environment
    • Continuously perform Risk analysis during the entire lifecycle of the project and ensure all risks are understood and communicated
    • Report status of progress of testing through daily, weekly and other reporting mechanism to all stakeholders for the project
    • Report defects in the defect management system and ensure the status of the defect is tracked to closure

    Qualifications for your role would include:

    • Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Minimum three years of experience in Test Automation and related tools
    • Deep understanding of quality assurance
    • Understanding of system integration, regression, administration and implementation
    • Strong experience with SDLC standards and best automation practices.
    • Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
    • SQL knowledge and database understanding
    • Java programming experience (nice to have: OCAJP/OCPJP certification)
    • Scripting knowledge in Java and Rest APIs required
    • Good knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks: - Build tools (ant, maven, Gradle)
      • Unit testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG)
      • Defect management (Quality Center, Jira)
      • Continuous integration tools (Jenkins, TeamCity)
      • Web UI testing tools (Selenium webdriver using Java and C#)
      • API testing tools (rest-assured, Soap UI)
