Join us as a Senior Test Team Analyst!

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Senior Test Team Analyst. The Senior Test Team Analyst executes UAT functions for a project or multiple smaller projects to maintain and implement BBH's products and/or solutions. You will be responsible for determining testing strategy and approach to successfully complete testing segments of projects. The Senior Test Team Analyst works with the internal and external stakeholders to properly test a project from the start of requirements through test closure. You will be the test team's project SME and central point of contact for all stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

  • Develops test strategy and plans with little guidance. Provides estimates for the test activities. Understands and successfully applies test approaches, strategies and tools.

  • Ensures test cases cover all business functionality, client and technology requirements, and industry standards. Ensures test case organization aligns with anticipated reporting needs.

  • Completes traceability analysis of test cases against project requirements.

  • Faces off directly with Project Manager and Business Analysts. Leads test-design and test-procedure walk through and review of test cases.

  • Prepares test data and executes test scripts and procedures, ensuring the test team and all stakeholders adhere to standards and quality controls.

  • Leader in promoting and managing proper documentation and record keeping procedures during test execution.

  • Actively works with systems test team to agree upon test tools for execution and reporting. Provides suggestions for improved test tool usage procedures.

  • Ensures proper daily defect tracking and progress reporting standards are being employed. Delivers weekly status report to project leaders, business owners, systems leadership and project contributors. Performs risk analysis during the entire life cycle of the project and reports the risks to stakeholders. Creates final acceptance phase summary report.

  • Responsible for the effectiveness of Test Status Review meetings - monitors and escalates participation concerns, prioritizes agenda topics and demonstrates leadership and strong decision-making skills.

  • Works with business users and systems developers to resolve test issues. Appropriately escalates critical issues and defects impacting scope, schedule and budget.

  • Responsible for all test closure activities, including stakeholder signoff and updates to the regression matrix.

  • Project level subject matter expert for the test team.

Our requirements

  • BA/BS degree, and/or equivalent work experience.

  • 3-5 years related work experience.

  • Financial services industry knowledge and experience a plus.

  • 2+ years experience in software testing.

  • Proficient in designing test plans, writing and executing test scripts.

  • Familiar with testing techniques and understands various testing phases.

  • Strong understanding of particular product and/or system under test.

  • Working knowledge of windows based applications, including MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

  • Ability to recognize one's own strengths and limitations, taking appropriate initiative to pursue development activities and seek assistance as needed.

  • Analytical and problem solving skills to assess information through research and analysis.
