    Service Delivery Manager

    About the role:


    To manage, perform and supervise specific general accounting as well as planning and performance management operations, ensuring internal and external reporting requirements are adhered to.

    Job description:


    Key accountabilities:

    • Responsible towards the local partners for day to day and close related tasks as well as preparing any reports required, depending on the scope assigned.
    • Ensure high-quality and timely preparation other standardized or adhoc reports including commentaries in order to facilitate the decision making process.
    • Supervise all aspects of the accounting and/or planning and performance management function.
    • Support resolving operational day-to-day problems referred from other functions of the business, ensuring an efficient and high- quality service when providing procedural advice, information, producing basic reports or providing comments on them.
    • Monitor, assess and evaluate finance business processes in collaboration with local stakeholder in order to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Actively monitor the internal SOX control framework and ensures adequate performance of controls
    • Monitor end to end process flow and identify risks and improvements to the framework.
    • Manage hiring within the local team.
    • Ensure training of direct reports on day to day matters and internal control matters.
    • Manage day to day activities or adhoc tasks including internal controls supporting the internal and external reporting requirements.

    Business accountabilities:

    • Lead teams of finance specialists supervised by Team Managers to develop and implement business processes in accordance with regulatory and company requirements and manage performance across all financial activities in order to achieve business objectives and continually improve performance.
    • Translate business objectives into clearly defined business cases, costs or schedules in order to support financial performance in the area of responsibility
    • Participate in regional/global financial projects or lead small scale financial projects by monitoring and utilizing allocated human and material resources assigned to project work, maintaining continuing dialogue with business and unit sponsors and financial and progress forecasting in order to ensure projects are delivered according to the schedule and within budget.
    • Contribute to the development of financial processes and lead the implementation of systems and process improvement in the area or advice on the interpretation of external regulations for the implementation of policies locally.
    • Provide technical guidance and recommendations as subject matter expert in order to diagnose and develop recommendations to solve business unit level problems or the most complex customer cases, by providing expert solutions or developing precedents to improve customer service.
    • Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships across the organization, including with auditors, regulators and other sub-functions within finance, in order to achieve engagement to change.
    • Review key financial performance indicators to identify strengths or weaknesses, advise senior management on the findings and recommend action to be taken including processor product improvement strategies.
    • Ensure development and delivery of training to increase awareness of existing or new policies and procedures to optimize performance and increase compliance within process area.










    Performance management accountabilities:

    • Model behaviors that demonstrate commitment to corporate values.
    • Oversee use of performance management processing area of responsibility and complete performance management cycle for direct reports.
    • Implement people management strategy and resource plan to support the business.
    • Optimize staff development and retention in area of responsibility.
    • Take action to manage own personal development and encourage others to do the same.




    Candidate’s profile:

    • Master degree (or equivalent) in Finance/Accounting/Controlling
    • At least 7 years of experience in related field and preferably 3 years in people management
    • Substantial experience in multiple functional areas
    • Lean Yellow and/or Green Belt or management recognized qualification expected
    • Recognized qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferable
    • Good know how in insurance accounting matters is preferred
    • Good oral and written communications skills (fluent English a must, communicative German a plus)
    • High degree of flexibility
    • Good level of problem solving skills
    • Ability to work with tight deadlines
    • Strong people management and leadership skill
