Your responsibilities

  • Create a compelling understanding of the Nestlé SH&E values and inspire stakeholders to excel in compliance & continuously improve, Promote a behavioural approach to SH&E, based on Nestlé Leadership Framework.

  • Identify SH&E priorities, current & future challenges, and opportunities for change at factory level. Develop a holistic strategy and implementation plan, aligned with Market priorities & objectives, and with the overall site OMP.

  • Ensure training and coaching is provided to managers and team leaders to help them take ownership, and lead & manage SH&E within their area of responsibility. Provide personal coaching and support to Site Management Team.

  • Develop & coordinate SH&E networks of professionals and champions.

  • Ensure managers receive trusted guidance & support on relevant SH&E matters. Identify expertise and good practices from inside and outside Nestlé and communicate them internally (both within the site/unit and beyond).

  • Co-ordinate internal & external resources to ensure delivery of high quality and efficient SH&E support, eg exposure monitoring, health promotion, health surveillance, life cycle assessment, training. Leverage SHE-PM and other tools to monitor & analyse performance and improve decision making.

  • Ensure compliance is regularly audited and performance assessed, and the results used to drive further improvement. Promote effective communication of successes and learnings, and recognition for strong performers and contributors.

  • Engage with external stakeholders (eg trades unions, local regulators, local communities, and local NGOs) on SH&E topics to build long term, positive relationships. Participate in external forums to benchmark with other companies, and share Nestlé practices.

Our requirements

  • Masters degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required.

  • Five years of related experience preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

  • Upper-intermediate English level

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
