About the project

Our goal is to build a software product which automates cost estimation of the company’s main offering – construction projects. It is one of the key components in the Prescient’s digital system as it is expected to drive better profitability via cost prediction accuracy and transparency. The application you will be working on is a game-changer both for the company and for the industry and one of Prescient’s top priorities. Domain experts from multiple departments who are also engaged in the project will help you understand available data and transform it into a useful cost estimate. While entire development team is in Krakow, you will be contacting some of our US-based stakeholders regularly as well.

From technology perspective you will developing a new modular web application in a modern tech stack where data quality and solid performance are the primary goals.

Your responsibilities

  • participating in software development lifecycle within an agile team: breaking down requirements, solution design, estimating, implementation, code review, testing and releasing the product

  • adding new, reliable and user-friendly features to our product

  • creating documentation, recognizing and fixing quality and performance issues in existing codebase

Our requirements

  • at least 2 years of commercial experience as a software developer (back-end or full-stack)

  • strong skills in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core

  • understanding of design patterns and principles

  • knowledge of databases, preferably PostgreSQL, EntityFramework, Dapper

  • good verbal and written communications skills of English

  • open mind and positive “can do” attitude


  • knowledge of non-relational database concepts, e.g. Marten

  • experience with event-based systems and message brokers, e.g. RabbitMQ

  • working knowledge of Angular Material, JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, Angular 2+

  • understanding of NgRx store and Redux

  • experience with Azure DevOps configuration, PowerShell
