About the project
Digital Business Automation (DigiBA) are a global function with over 250 staff in 12 countries. We are responsible for defining and implementing the strategy for a number of critical products across the organization, as well as ensuring their availability, recoverability and security.
In order to facilitate the adoption of this strategy we are looking to recruit an experienced Full-stack Software Developer to join our Digital Business Automation function. This role will be part of a Global Task & Process Automation POD or team responsible for delivery of automation and improvements for the underlying infrastructure and processes owned by DigiBA.
Lead the design and coding to build the end to end solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders and end-users to understand and gather requirements to develop the best automation solutions. Understand functional requirements & scope and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Providing the task and process automation capabilities to facilitate DevOps and Agile practices both internally and externally.
Ensures participation and coordination of Teams/Pods for problem management and ensuring the resolution of all incidents within the Teams/Pods. Collection, Analyses, Processing of statistics and raw data and identify root cause and improvement areas
Hands-on development of application on medium/large scale critical platforms
Able to initiate the project foundation and deliver the core/critical logic in the project
Adhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working, exceptional and project activities, and raise any concerns about actual or potential issues promptly, in line with reporting and escalation procedures.
Apply policies, procedures, practices and standards to their allocated tasks, taking responsibility for the own actions, ensure the achievement of high levels of quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance
Suggest ideas and contribute to implementing actions that will improve governance and administration or the way teams and individuals work together.
Experience in the frontend / backend development, system integration and migration
Experience with Back-end languages like Java SpringBoot, Python
Understanding of Database concept – with the focus on common database systems like MySQL, Oracle and SQLServer
Experience repository hosting services i.e. GitHub
Full working proficiency in English
Excellent communication skills
Time management abilities to prioritize and manage your time tasks effectively
Attention to details and problem-solving skills
Experience of CI/CD configuration and implementation
Experience of engineering/project tools such as Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Nexus IQ, Nexus, Puppet, Ansible
Experience on DevOps processes and Agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban
Hands-on experience on either Mulesoft, Splunk, Docker, Kubernetes
Familiarity with Machine Learning e.g. Tensorflow, PyTorch, keras, paddlepaddle
Experience on RPA, AIOPS, NoSQL database
Familiarity with development on PaaS and IaaS platform such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, Google Cloud Platform. Experience on Terraform
