Your responsibilities
- Work alongside product managers and designers to deliver high quality front-end features to Goal’s website for use by 70 million users globally
- Deliver high quality, robust and testable code adhering to internal engineering procedures, code conventions and development methodologies
- Contribute to comprehensive documentation that supports the development and support lifecycles
- Work to continually improve software deployment to ensure iterative releases and rapid deployment of updates to our customers across all platforms
- Mentoring and supporting other developers with their day-to-day work
- Monitor system performance and resolve any issues or failures in staging or production environments
Our requirements
- A self-starter able who takes pride in delivering great work every sprint
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6)
- Design patterns and modern programming principles
- Availability to support application outside of office hours (on call)
- Fluency in written and spoken English (min. B1)
- Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas to others
Optional
- A love of football!
- Experience with: Webpack, jQuery, Google Tag Manager
- Experience with Test-driven development
- Experience with cloud computing services and distributed applications (AWS / Azure)
- Ability to write tests using JavaScript
- Familiar with Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration systems
- knowledge of Search Engine Optimization Basics
- Exposure to Infrastructure as a code (experience with Terraform/ CloudFormation)
- Experience with Agile Software Development and Scrum
