We are in search of a Software Engineer who will be instrumental in the design, development, and delivery of Company’s Security Intelligence solution. This service amasses security threats on a large scale from various external sources. It detects unidentified threats by executing innovative stream processing and machine learning algorithms nearly in real-time, leveraging a vast amount of internally collected data and signals.

About the project

In this position, you will interact directly with product management, our design team, our customers, and other engineering teams. We operate on a lean process that prioritizes empowering and serving our engineers instead of just directing them.

Our Apps team creates applications that security operators rely on for delivering essential intelligence. We operate as a team to pinpoint user flows, enrich designs through iteration, and develop straightforward and intuitive workflows for our customers. Considering the overwhelming amount of data users might encounter, our mission is to offer the user the flexibility and functionality to use all of it while highlighting what's relevant to them.

Our Engineering Team is entirely remote and operates across Eastern, Central, and Pacific Time zones.

Your responsibilities

  • Construct customer-centric end-to-end UI flows using our existing stack by generating code, tests, documentation; aiding the sprint management process; and effectively communicating with peers and managers.

  • Collaborate closely with Product & UI research teams to enhance the usability and experience.

  • Develop backend interfaces and APIs that support customer-centric end-to-end UI flows.

  • Take charge of frontend and backend technologies in our application stack, with a mindset that values security, resilience, and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Research and implement new tools, frameworks, and libraries that would benefit the team, effectively communicate their significance.

Employer requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in building and launching successful user-focused products.

  • Immersion in customer insights and a commitment to doing what's best for them.

  • Robust collaboration skills, with proven ability to work across customer success, sales, marketing, and engineering teams and influence senior leaders.

  • A comprehensive understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript, CSS, and HTML.

  • Familiarity with technologies in our stack: React, Redux, Styled Components, Webpack, Jest, Storybook, Cypress, etc.

  • Experience working with backend programming languages such as Python or Java.

  • Experience in developing single-page, data-intensive web applications, and handling asynchronous data using REST APIs.

  • Clear understanding of UX design principles and experience working with customers and team members as part of a design process.

  • Capability to architect high-level technical solutions and delve into the implementation.

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with minimal direction, a sense of intellectual curiosity, humility, accountability, and positivity.
