About the project

You won’t be working on your own - each project is assigned its own SCRUM team consisting of Senior and Junior developers, both frontend and backend, DevOps engineers, product owners, as well as UX/UI designers, a software tester, and a business analyst.

Our experience comes from implementing MES solutions for companies like SpaceX, CoorsTek, Bombardier, Sierra Nevada Corporation, and many others…

Our tech stack

• Our frontend is built in micro-frontend architecture, using the latest Angular. We write our end-to-end and integration tests in Cypress.

• Our backend consists of several microservices written in .net core running in the Kubernetes cluster hosted in Azure. We use Azure SQL and Azure Blob Storage for data persistency.

• For testing and deploying our code, we use CI/CD pipelines maintained in Azure DevOps.

• We also have our own Angular Component Library.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

  • Define and implement the software engineering processes, standards, and best practices that ensure high-quality software development and delivery.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers on the team.

  • Work with product managers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that software development projects are well-defined, well-planned, and well-executed.

  • Collaborate with other engineering teams and departments to ensure the successful delivery and integration of software components.

  • Manage and oversee the recruitment, hiring, and retention of software engineering talent.

  • Occasionally work on coding tasks to keep technical skills sharp and stay up-to-date with the codebase.

Our requirements

  • Technical expertise: A deep understanding of software engineering principles, concepts, and best practices, and proficiency in programming languages and technologies relevant to the job.

  • Experience in programming in C#

  • Experience in database design and knowledge of SQL

  • Experience in a microservices architecture

  • Practical knowledge of good software development practices

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.

  • Proven experience as Software Engineering Lead / Manager.

  • Strong leadership and management skills: The ability to lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions, set and achieve goals, and inspire and motivate team members to perform at their best.

  • Communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and senior management, and to translate technical concepts and requirements into business terms.

  • Business Acumen: The ability to understand the business context and priorities of the organization and align software development efforts accordingly.

  • Mentoring skills: The ability to provide guidance, and mentorship to team members to help them develop their skills, advance their careers, and achieve their full potential.

  • Good command of the English language, both speaking and writing.

Optional

  • Experience in Azure or other cloud providers.

  • Experience in load testing tools and frameworks (preferably k6)

  • Previous experience with Azure DevOps.

  • Previous experience in CI/CD.

  • Practical experience or interest in Manufacturing Execution Systems.
