About the project
You won’t be working on your own - each project is assigned its own SCRUM team consisting of Senior and Junior developers, both frontend and backend, DevOps engineers, product owners, as well as UX/UI designers, a software tester, and a business analyst.
Our experience comes from implementing MES solutions for companies like SpaceX, CoorsTek, Bombardier, Sierra Nevada Corporation, and many others…
Our tech stack
• Our frontend is built in micro-frontend architecture, using the latest Angular. We write our end-to-end and integration tests in Cypress.
• Our backend consists of several microservices written in .net core running in the Kubernetes cluster hosted in Azure. We use Azure SQL and Azure Blob Storage for data persistency.
• For testing and deploying our code, we use CI/CD pipelines maintained in Azure DevOps.
• We also have our own Angular Component Library.
Your responsibilities
Manage and lead a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Define and implement the software engineering processes, standards, and best practices that ensure high-quality software development and delivery.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers on the team.
Work with product managers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that software development projects are well-defined, well-planned, and well-executed.
Collaborate with other engineering teams and departments to ensure the successful delivery and integration of software components.
Manage and oversee the recruitment, hiring, and retention of software engineering talent.
Occasionally work on coding tasks to keep technical skills sharp and stay up-to-date with the codebase.
Our requirements
Technical expertise: A deep understanding of software engineering principles, concepts, and best practices, and proficiency in programming languages and technologies relevant to the job.
Experience in programming in C#
Experience in database design and knowledge of SQL
Experience in a microservices architecture
Practical knowledge of good software development practices
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
Proven experience as Software Engineering Lead / Manager.
Strong leadership and management skills: The ability to lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions, set and achieve goals, and inspire and motivate team members to perform at their best.
Communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and senior management, and to translate technical concepts and requirements into business terms.
Business Acumen: The ability to understand the business context and priorities of the organization and align software development efforts accordingly.
Mentoring skills: The ability to provide guidance, and mentorship to team members to help them develop their skills, advance their careers, and achieve their full potential.
Good command of the English language, both speaking and writing.
Optional
Experience in Azure or other cloud providers.
Experience in load testing tools and frameworks (preferably k6)
Previous experience with Azure DevOps.
Previous experience in CI/CD.
Practical experience or interest in Manufacturing Execution Systems.
