Your responsibilities

Position Description

MDx Software Development department in Wroclaw is key R&D center in QIAGEN. All together we are almost 800 specialists working in Wroclaw office. In 2020 we became Software Technology Center responsible for global projects, software technology, DevOps and agile practices. We value innovation, agility, entrepreneurship in pragmatic way to get things done.

We are looking for motivated and experienced Software Product Owner to support development activities in one of our key projects.

You will have great opportunity to have direct impact on one of most revolutionary and fastest growing industries in the world. You will collaborate with development teams located in Poland, Germany, Spain and in the UK. You will work on one of QIAGEN’s most innovative diagnostic products (dPCR, Syndromic Testing or other). You will be responsible for defining software product backlog, leading product discussions and workshops, contributing to product roadmap and building positive working relationship with QIAGEN teams and stakeholders.


- Leading product iteration and sprint iteration planning meetings.

- Writing project documentation (product requirements, software requirements, development plan).

- Decision making in regards to priorities, sprint goal and projects backlog.

- Participating all relevant project meetings.

- Stakeholder management in Poland, Germany and worldwide.

- Supporting resource assignments together with line manager and project manager.

- Working with development teams from global R&D centers.

- Proactively contributing to Product Owner Community and promotes agile practices in QIAGEN

Our requirements

  • University degree in Computer-Science or comparable education.

  • At least 5 years of experience in Software Development.

  • At least 2 years of experience on similar position.

  • Good understanding of DoR, DoD, Epics, User stories etc.

  • Good knowledge and experience in business analysis tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect, MS Visio, MS Office) and techniques (brainstorming, workshops, diagraming - UML, BPMN, etc.).

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Ability to define business cases and transform them into user stories.

  • Agile e.g. SM/PO/PM certification is a plus.

  • Fluent knowledge of English is required.
