For our business to work, Software Quality Engineering Team defines, pilots, develops, and continuously executes all testing. Relying on automated approaches, integrated in the CD/CI agile approach.

Join the newly formed international Software Quality Engineering team in Krakow implementing the most exciting, international digital projects. Become part of a real international and diverse team by mutually building up these testing capabilities.

Your responsibilities

  • Work on complex integration digital projects of varied scope for all brands at Qurate Retail Group (web & mobile shops, CRM, Supply Chain, WMS, Customer Finance, Customer Service, Payments and may others).

  • Be a member of geographically dispersed international team.

  • Provide input related to the test design of new and existing applications/systems and test architecture.

  • Contribute to feasibility analysis for new test integrations.

  • Work independently to develop automation scripts and review results and resolve script issues when necessary.

  • Cooperate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, development teams and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and coordinate test execution.

  • Design test cases, execute them and evaluate and prepare them for automation.

  • Participate in all automation review sessions/process or POC for new areas of automation to with senior team members, articulate support decisions made, and address actions.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields, or a completed vocational training, e.g. as an IT specialist with corresponding further training courses and several years of professional experience.

  • Understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance.

  • Understanding of application testing: Integration testing (grey box testing), Functional testing, Regression testing, End-to-end testing (black box testing).

  • Proven experience with Test Management and Defect Management Tool (like ALM, TM4J, Rally) usage and configuration.

  • Solid understanding of API testing, UI testing (both web and classic ones) and Mobile apps testing (both Android and iOS).

  • Experience with identification, development and utilization of metrics for decision support.

  • Experience with of application development methods and the fundamentals of requirements specification, design, development and testing of business applications systems.

  • Understanding of technical architecture, application landscape, test and deployment automation and IT environment, as well as tools used in development, deployment, and testing.

  • Ability to contribute to building automated tests and release and deploy pipelines using, recommended tools in the area of focus.

  • Ability to troubleshoot framework and scripting problems and addressing them with limited support.

  • Good knowledge of the design and testing of Restful APIs and services.

  • Experience in CI/CD (using toolsets such as GIT/Sub Version, Jenkins/Team City, Maven)

  • Exposure to tools like: Selenium, SoapUI, UFT, JMeter, Appium, JUnit.

  • Knowledge of agile collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence.

  • Basic understanding of relational database concepts and experience in writing SQL statements at medium complexity (SQL Developer, TOAD, SQL Navigator, Advanced Query Tool).

  • Java and one other programming language (e.g. JS, Python, Groovy).

  • Fluency in English, both in speaking and writing.

  • Preferred min 3 years of related experience.
