Your responsibilities

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Join us as a Software Quality Senior Engineer on our Common Management and Operations Software team in Warsaw, Poland to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.

What you’ll achieve

As a Software Quality Senior Engineer, you will help build the automation software responsible for the quality assurance strategy for Dell’s newest management and orchestration team. This new team will build automation environments to rapidly validate micro-service products that are the foundation of other Dell software products. You will be on the leading edge of could technology driving its evolution as hyper-converged and micro-services architectures merge. This is a globally distributed team in various locations.

You will:

• Follow test plans: design and execute test cases, document test results, manage and maintain defect and test case databases to assist in the continuous improvement and modification of software.

• Add new automated test scenarios (Python), maintain continuous test execution (Jenkins), track test execution results, recommend corrective actions, and work with the development engineers on resolution of problems.

• Isolate, reproduce and track bugs and verify fixes.

• Regular communication with leadership on progress and milestone achievement.

• Act as a strong technical software quality engineer to deliver a world class product to our customers.

Our requirements

  • Product quality control experience in successfully bringing new products to market.

  • University Degree with 5+ years of extensive experience with high-performing software development teams.

  • Strong communicator and be comfortable communicating technically at both high and low levels.

  • Understanding of quality tools, test techniques and processes.

  • Fluent English.

Optional

  • Extensive experience in automated testing using Python. Familiar with the following common software development tools: GitHub, Jira, Jenkins. Knowledge of Linux system and networking.

  • Experience working with large enterprise customers. Knowledgeable in Public & Private Cloud technologies.

  • Experienced in cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Containers, Microservices, Service Mesh.
