Your responsibilities
As an experienced Software Technical Lead you will be responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining software applications & services. As a leader of our digital effort, you will be working in the areas of developing tools in Electron framework, porting services to cloud environment, manage and grow database solutions involving AI & Data Science to support cutting edge Metal Powder 3D Printing lab and its R&D projects. You will be responsible for full software lifecycle including activities such as requirement analysis, software development, testing and maintenance of good quality documentation.
You will lead and drive end to end design and architecture for the digital transformation solutions in Additive Manufacturing R&D programs for the GE Aviation business. You will be also responsible for components, tools and features programing working independently and contributing to the immediate team and to other teams across business.
You will also contribute to design discussions and demonstrate leadership in executing business and program goals for additive manufacturing process development, improvement and component fabrication. In this role, you will utilize engineering and manufacturing skills to solve problems and advance the art of additive technology through lean process expertise.
Provide essential skills and expertise for the full scope of project management including all aspects of technical expertise, leadership, effective communication, planning, time management, risk management and problem solving
Collaborate with Additive Team Management to meet goals aligned with business strategy
Work across global additive engineering and software development team to define and implement tailored Digital solutions aligned to business priorities
Proactively defining new software solutions to further automate additive processes in the spirit of LEAN
Driving culture of continuous improvement and waste management
Responsible for the development and maintenance of software applications and digital solutions dedicated to support Additive R&D projects and manufacturing capability
Coordinate and execute Digital project while working with external teams
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
Our requirements
Master’s degree in Computer Science, “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and other related disciplines (Physics, Mechatronics etc.)
Good track record of software development
Understanding of complex systems
Good communication in verbal and written English. Fluent in Polish is meriting.
Full stack developer experienced in Phyton, Vue.JS & Electron Framework
Experience in SQL and willingness to expand into NoSQL
Practical knowledge of modern approaches to software development (including TDD, Agile, design patterns, continuous integration)
Broad engineering knowledge or academical experience is a plus
Lean Six Sigma/Agile experience and/or formal training is a plus
Established project management skills is a plus
Working knowledge of additive process parameters and equipment with preference in metal binder jet would be an additional value
Knowledge of one of leading Cloud environments (AWS or Azure) will be a plus
Experience with BI Tools integrations, especially Spotfire, will be a plus
Awareness of Machine learning and AI technologies will be a plus
Experience with computer vision and image processing will be a plus
