    The purpose of the Sourcing Analyst role is to equip the Procurement teams with the correct information and insights to drive performance, provide visibility and to grow GSK’s digital agenda.

    The role will bring Procurement, the business and our supply base together to work collaboratively and to unlock value; this is a ground breaking first for Procurement.

    The scope is global and covers various indicators and data analysis tools: advanced analytics, big data, technology pilots, consultancy, eSourcing, savings, risk, business KPIs.

    This role creates and manages the connection between the Procurement teams, the available technology and the business strategy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Procurement Technology:

    • Fully trained on Procurement technologies and able to train others (e.g. Collaborative Bid Optimisation)

    Analytics:

    • To be the expert within the space, translating GSK Procurement and stakeholder needs to create optimized solutions for the business
    • Keep up-to-date regarding advanced analytics, industry best practice and future technologies
    • Provide actionable insights to procurement and the business using multiple data sources, which deliver significant business value
    • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to procurement data sets

    Consultancy:

    • Manage the partnership between Procurement, the Tech team and the business
    • Collaborate and work alongside VP of procurement with the ability to present at SVP level and above
    • Work with stakeholders throughout the organisation to identify opportunities for leveraging procurement data to drive business solutions

    Project Management:

    • Operational management of the analytics programme pipeline (analysis, priorities, resources, timelines) to ensure on time delivery, in line with requirements and at the expected level of quality
    • Develop analytics pipeline support opportunity analysis and sourcing execution

    Basic qualifications:

    • University degree (BSc or equivalent) Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Analytics, Procurement, Supply Chain Management.
    • Understanding of procurement, and the value it brings to the business.
    • Strong technical, problem-solving and analytical mind-set.
    • Understanding of statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
    • Experience in acting as a consultant between stakeholders and technical teams to deliver projects.
    • Experience in delivering complex analytical projects, on time and to the expected quality.
    • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression models, statistical tests, etc.)
    • Experience in navigating through large amounts of data, either from analytics, data management, or system testing experiences.
