Sr Manager Global Infrastructure

Your responsibilities

Role Summary

This role is responsible for the leadership, and vision for the development, maintenance, use and future needs of the Infrastructure systems, network, telecommunications, and data center operations. Lead the team responsible for these technologies to achieve high levels of system compliance, availability, performance, usability and client services. Ensures 7X24 system availability, proper backup and recovery as well as full Disaster Recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages internal and external staff responsible for infrastructure and network operations;

• Architect and design future state of infrastructure including cloud, datacentre, network;

• Manages the complete lifecycle of Infrastructure products and services ensuring their alignment with security policies, architecture strategy and business goals;

• Ensures complete environment documentation and architecture diagrams;

• Develops process for infrastructure life cycle management including Planning, Procurement, Deployment, Asset Management (ITAM) and Asset Disposal (ITAD);

• Develops teams skill sets to provide 24 hour support capability across technology stack;

• Work closely with IT product lines and other technical teams to deliver services that meet business and product needs;

• Drives digital innovation by leveraging innovative technologies and approaches to renovate, extend and transform the existing core technology products and services;

• Manage multiple initiatives and priorities, scale teams and ensure the team has clear and measureable goals;

• Ensure the teams are performing the necessary operational work to improve uptime and security by conducting routine checks, proactive monitoring and proper maintenance and scheduled patching;

• Develops processes, policies & procedures as it relates to all infrastructure components;

• Participates in new business development projects as required;

• Prepares and assesses vendor requests for proposal (RFP);

• Ensures all production changes are quantified and approve in accordance to Change Management policies;

• Ensures level 3 system administration and network operational support;

• Ensure high performance of the network, databases and infrastructure;

• Develops plans and works to eliminate data center sprawl;

• Develops forward looking road map to reduce cost of infrastructure while maintaining stable and high performing systems;

• Ensures all Backup and Recovery systems function properly and conducts periodic validation tests;

• Participates in Major Incident Management events;

• Works with 3rd party Cyber-Security teams to ensure system security and compliance;

• Stays abreast of all infrastructure trends such as Modern Workspace Management, Cloud & Distributed Cloud Technologies, Automation, etc and works to continually improve Infrastructure services.
