Your responsibilities
- Sourcing materials and services in area of responsibility within aligned sourcing strategies
- Negotiating and concluding deals in accordance with delegated responsibility
- Creating and maintaining eRFQs, contracts, master data etc. in Pinpools and SAP
- Executing of agreements with the suppliers
- Initiates bundling projects towards supply markets/suppliers in close collaboration with GPS Category Management
- Participating in Lean Sigma / CPX projects, e.g. as Yellow Belt or team member
- Developing sourcing strategies within the category
- Conducting market research and proactively finds new suppliers and alternative sourcing concepts
- Forecasting prices of strategic spend segments
- Supporting Key Supplier Management program, Sustainability, Risk Management and CO2 reduction programs
- Contributing to monthly reports about market developments in the area of responsibility
- Managing supplier relationship within area of responsibility, contributing to supplier assessment, supplier audits and implementation of the improvements identified
- Trying to be a good example for others, spread your passion and best practices
Our requirements
- University degree preferably in (Industrial/Chemical) Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent Business Administration with chemical/process technology background
- 3+ years solid experience in industrial procurement understanding requesters motivation, european Distribution, Contract manufacturing and Tolling supply markets and having defined own procurement strategies
- Experience in having participated in distribution concepts and/or tolling projects and successfully negotiated corresponding spot buys and supply contracts
- Experience in different cultural environments or fields of business or comparable level of exposure
- Affinity for technical and digital process design and eTools is an advantage
- Language skills: Fluent in English; German would be an asset
- Profound analytical and negotiations skills
- Well-developed communication skills
- Self-motivated towards gaining technical and market expertise
- Capable to prioritize during demand peaks
- MS Office & SAP advanced user
