    Strategy Associate

    Mercer is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Warsaw Operation Centre:

    Strategy Associate role is part of the Strategic Projects Team. The Team works on delivering technology-enabled solutions transforming Career business from the product organization to the Data as a Service model. The team is a part of the Mercer Services Operations and works closely with the Business and Technology partners on designing, developing and implementing new solutions and leveraging advanced technologies to benefit clients and internal stakeholders.
    Strategy Associate role is accountable for documenting end-to-end business needs to be met by various strategic, transformational projects. The person in this role works with stakeholders from the Business and Operations on defining detailed needs supporting strategic vision, creating activity / value maps and understating the broader context of what the Business needs to deliver. These are the key inputs for the Technology teams to architect the most optimal solutions, scope and sequence the development effort.

    The responsibilities include:

    • Work with the Business Unit leaders to develop the hypothesis and analytical frameworks to identify revenue generation and workflow efficiency opportunities
    • Convert verbal interviews and written documentation into single source of truth process maps which classify high-potential improvement ideas and pain points
    • Identify and analyse key data sources to convert anecdotal hunches into fact-based decision making
    • Develop a deep understanding of the business processes, test hypotheses, implications, and proposed solutions
    • Develop and deliver written and verbal communications to key decision makers
    • Work with sales, research, product, operations, and tech teams to implement recommendations


    • 2-3 years of experience within a management consultancy, operations consultancy, business technology, business analysis, digital transformation, or similar profile
    • Project management experience in a multi-cultural environment
    • Experience of conducting high quality business analysis
    • Exposure to process mapping, process improvement and requirement gathering techniques
    • Ability to identify and document client requirements
    • Understanding of the innovative technology solutions and their business application (robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning etc)
    • Very good command of English and excellent communication skills
    • Expert facility with Excel and PowerPoint; experience with additional data analysis and process modeling tools preferred
    • Process reengineering or Lean Six Sigma training
