Your responsibilities
Lead Supplier Development of Semiconductor suppliers
Assess and approve semiconductor component technology changes at suppliers
Lead problem resolution activities with supplier on complex issues
Monitor key supplier’s performance and drive continuous improvement activities
Engage with supplier leadership and drive executive level quality leadership interactions
Work with product design and hardware teams for best ASIC solution
Support customer communication when required
Conduct Safe Launch for Critical New Programs
Lead and own deep dive assessment across the entire semiconductor value stream
Drive risk assessment and risk mitigation activities throughout the product lifecycle
Our requirements
Work experience in Semiconductor fabrication, packaging, design
Minimum 5 years of professional experience
Understanding of automotive requirements for semiconductor reliability
Ability to effectively communicate complex issues
Ability to travel ~30% of the time
Able to cope with new / difficult / additional responsibility with short notice
Functions independently without supervision and technical guidance
Structured problem solving capability
Presentation skills
Ability to facilitate conflict situations with peers independently
6 Sigma Certificate – Black Belt – as a plus
IATF / VDA 6.3 Certified Auditor – would be an advantage

As Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) you will shape the future of mobility through managing, developing and improving performance of semiconductor suppliers. You will interface with wide range of APTIV organizations (engineering, project management, purchasing, etc.) and suppliers in early phase of new projects development and to support APTIV manufacturing sites on major ICs quality issues.
