Your responsibilities
1. CMO Relationship Management
• Interface with each CMO to address contractual obligations and all other routine issues/concerns involving the relationship
• Coordinate and assist in communications with key functions to address commercial and clinical manufacturing needs
• Assist CMO with problem resolution and continuous improvement programs to ensure process robustness, assessing corrective measures and the success of their outcome
• Develop a right first-time culture with proactive attention to avoid undesirable events where possible
• Coordinate routine Operational Review Meetings (ORM) / Joint Steering Committee (JSC) meetings with each CMO at defined frequencies
• Assist in the identification of CMO key performance indicators, the preparation of performance metrics and all other agenda topics to be presented and discussed at routine ORMs
• Ensure CMOs quality, safety and environmental systems are effective and where needed engaged in continuous improvement initiatives
• Where appropriate partner with CMO to monitor and support supplier concerns
• Coordinate and address the financial relationship between both parties by initiating purchase orders and ensuring that vendor invoices are accurate and paid on time
• Lead and support operational excellence initiatives both internally and with CMOs
• Work with CMOs to create or continuously improve a Business Continuity Plan
2. Program Management
• Lead a cross-functional team(s) to oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing, testing, batch release, and project implementation at our strategic partners
• Effectively communicate and coordinate all critical activities to ensure objectives are understood and met by all stakeholders
• Utilize standard work processes and tools for all aspects of program management
• Drive accountability across the team to deliver against business objectives
• Monitor operational performance across quality, cost, and delivery through the establishment of key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and reporting
• Actively monitor all risks and issues and proactively address bottlenecks through detailed communication and risk mitigation by interfacing with project teams and Servier management
• Address personnel and supply risks/contingencies both internally and externally
3. Continuity of Supply
• Interface with Supply Chain on a regular basis to keep abreast of critical market needs and priorities
• Communicate with other functions as needed to address priorities and patient needs
• Maintain and monitor tracking tools used for artwork management, product release, and shipment in order to plan timing of events and ensure continuity of supply
• Assist with and drive opportunities to eliminate waste and improve efficiencies across the overall supply chain
4. Other duties as required or directed by the Manager or Functional Management
• Travel as required to meet the needs of the business
• Keep current with industry regulatory, compliance trends and publications
• Comply with appropriate legislation and Servier policies
Our requirements
Minimum 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry
Demonstrated project and program management capability
Experience leading cross-functional, cross-continental teams
Excellent interpersonal skills needed to work in a high-performance culture
Proven utilization of risk management processes
Ability to manage and resolve conflict
Effective communication with ability to influence others at every level without direct authority
Demonstrated tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty
Ability to champion change when needed
Well versed in FDA, EU and global regions cGMP compliance
Understanding of and ability to collaborate well with other areas of the business
Demonstrated leadership capability
Ability to train, mentor, and/or lead new team members
Strong technical and financial background
Experience managing budgets and procurement processes including statements of work (SOW), purchase orders, and invoicing
Demonstrable background/experience in protecting/maintaining Confidentiality, Intellectual Property and Know-How
Experience with process scale up and optimization, tech transfer and analytical techniques preferred
Proven and demonstrable experience in managing and negotiating contracts, preferred
BS/MS in Scientific /Engineering field or >10 years of relevant experience
Advanced Degree desirable
PMP Certification desirable

SUMMARY OF ROLE:
The Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) position is responsible for leading a cross-functional team(s) to oversee various manufacturing operations such as procurement, drug substance / API manufacturing, finished dose manufacturing, packaging, quality control testing, quality assurance and supply chain at our external Contract Manufacturing Organization(s). The role initiates, develops, and manages strategic supplier relationships in support of the External Manufacturing (ExM) organization in order to achieve Servier’s business objectives. This requires knowledge of each defined functional area both internally and externally.
The role requires an understanding of commercial pharmaceutical manufacturing. Strong leadership and communication skills are required as the role involves leadership of cross-functional, cross-continental teams comprised of both internal Servier and external Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) members. Proficiency with lean practices and utilization of standard work and processes is a requirement.
The primary focus of the role is to ensure that products which meet specifications are delivered on time and on budget in a safe and sustainable way to ensure supply continuity for our patients. This is accomplished by coordinating and addressing the needs of key stakeholders and critical functions through the utilization of standard work and processes.
Other Relevant Information:
Approximately 25% domestic and international travel is required to meet the needs of the business
