Facilitate filing of purchase requests, purchase orders, bid analysis, other procurement related documents (both hard copies and e-copies) to comply with documentation requirements for SCI and donor compliance
Maintain proper documentation of all supply chain & procurement activities, supplier database and procurement tracker
Oversee the preparation of purchase orders based on best quality and best cost of supplier.
Assist with the sourcing and establishing of FWA’s, sourcing pipelines.
Implementing all procurement transactions and activities according to SC rules and regulations and ensure all staff engaging in procurement activities understands and applies the rules and regulations surrounding these.
Support the implementation of SCI Supply Chain Procedures and rollout Supply Chain best practices in the area of operations.
Ensure that SCI’s supply chain standards and systems are fully addressed and procedures are adhered as well as documentation, filling and reporting mechanisms for the main functions are to the standard and fully implemented in the offices
Support and coach staff to conduct regular market survey of goods, and services and also to establish supplier’s database, and also establish framework agreements for commonly procured items in the region.
Responsible for assessing and advising on supply chain needs for new and existing projects in collaboration with all program and project team
Liaise with relevant officials and transport companies when needed to transport goods and do all customs clearance activities
Extensive prior experience in supply chain management, within complex/large scale country programmes and in emergency response/humanitarian environments
Experience in technical areas of supply chain operations with a child-focused operation (particularly Procurement elements).
Understanding Procurement procedures.
Good communication skills
Previous work experience, ideally with non-governmental organizations would be an advantage.
