Your responsibilities

  • To provide strategic direction to the partners,

  • Lead on the partner assessment, reviewing and advising on partners on more effective strategies to improve on procurement function,

  • To training and build capacities of partners – ensuring cost effective, transparency and integrity and efficient and prompt delivery of programme support,

  • In consultation with the Head of Supply Chain Manager, establish mechanisms to monitor partner compliance to supply chain requirement,

  • To conducting market research and develop comprehensive price lists following categories of commodities available in the market for the benefit of programme concept note and proposal development,

  • Lead on procurements, whenever necessary and build the local capacity accordingly,

  • Work with the staff, particularly budget holders and finance, to ensure timely payments to vendors,

  • Maintain an environment of excellence and a “can do” culture that facilitates Save the Children’s success,

  • The post-holder will comply with all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures with respect to child safeguarding, safety and security, code of conduct, equal opportunities and other relevant policies.

Our requirements

  • Save the Children is seeking a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment,

  • Excellent grasp of NGO/Donor policies and procedures relevant to partnerships, procurement of goods/services,

  • Be able to understand internal and external statutory laws that affect partnership and procurement,

  • Experience working in the procurement arena, preferably in and/or development programs, with progressive development of the skill-sets outlined above,

  • Coordinate with thresholds the development of the adequate technical specifications,

  • Adapt – where necessary the monitoring and updating of the procurement plan in coordination with program and supply sections following proposals and concept notes,

  • Familiarity with donor-based requirements, and maintaining of high levels of compliance preferred,

  • Commitment to SCI mission, goals, and principles,

  • Strong communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills in English/Polish with experience in managing multicultural teams,

  • (Desirable) Supply Chain Management or Formal Management Training

  • (Desirable) Previous knowledge of Save the Children Systems
