This department is tasked with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large and complex data sets related to sourcing, purchasing, managing suppliers, demand planning, manufacturing, logistics, and other key supply chain and procurement functions.
The primary purpose of the data analytics department is to provide valuable insights that enable the organization to optimize its supply chain and procurement operations, improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and ultimately enhance customer satisfaction. This department helps to identify areas for improvement, uncover opportunities for growth, and make data-driven recommendations that support the organization's goals and objectives.
Additionally, the data analytics department plays a key role in shaping the data culture of the organization, promoting best practices in data management, and ensuring that data is accurate, timely, and actionable. This department collaborates with other business functions, such as finance and IT, to drive innovation and support the overall success of the organization.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends and patterns, and creating insightful reports and visualizations that will inform strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with large and diverse datasets, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and have experience in gathering requirements, leading projects, and prioritizing tasks.
As the Data Analyst, you will be accountable for designing and delivering critical analytics to support business operations and forecast key performance indicators such as revenue, cost, cash, and customer delivery. This highly technical role is embedded within the business organization and offers the opportunity to shape the analytics functions of supply chain and procurement. Currently, the organization predominantly uses Tableau for descriptive analytics, analyzing data stored in the Amazon Cloud Enterprise Data Hub. There are opportunities to identify areas for improvement. You can help our team prioritize investments, identify gaps in processes and technologies, and establish a roadmap for advancing the organization's data maturity.
