Position Summary
The Planning Analyst will report directly to the Planning Manager. Their direct accountability will be to support the monthly North America Demand Consensus cycle. The analyst will perform various administrative tasks as well as statistical and analytical analysis. The Planning Analyst will gather and organize demand planning data from various cross functional teams and systems in preparation for 6-8 collaborative demand planning consensus meetings each month. The Planning Analyst will use JDA statistical modeling to generate an upper level, long range forecast for a group of SKU’s or products.
The Planning Analyst may support the Global Sales and Operations Supply meeting through performance metrics tracking, administrative tasks and or analytical trend analysis.
The Planning Analyst may be asked to lead or implement various continuous improvement initiatives in the area of demand and supply planning.

Support the monthly NA demand consensus process including but not limited to:

Accountabilities
- Drive internal collaboration between demand planning, customer supply chain and sales in order to reach demand consensus that is based on sales history, market intelligence and analytical insights
- Improve overall supply chain efficiencies through increased forecast accuracy
- Lead and/or participate on assigned project teams to achieve common goals, while building integrated collaborative relationships with other team members, and internal customers
Specific Accountabilities
Support the monthly NA demand consensus process including but not limited to:
- Using JDA, generate a long range statistical forecasting at an “upper level” for a set group of products
- Gather and track key metrics (Line Item Fill Rate, Forecast Performance)
- Manage NA demand consensus meeting administration
- Prepare NA demand planning templates
- Compile presentations for various NA leadership meetings
- Gather, track and report on key metrics (Global Line Item Fill Rate, Global Forecast Performance)
- Speak to significant NA demand trends
Required Skills and Experience
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Undergraduate degree required (Forecasting, Supply Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business preferred)
- 4-6 years demand planning, supply chain and/or operations experience
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be self-motivated and highly adaptable to change.
- Computer literate. Excel Power User, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Email
- Must have working knowledge of basic supply and demand planning concepts as well as Sales and Operations Planning
- JDA/SAP or other planning software experience preferred
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Data Mining – Business Data Models, Microsoft Access, Enterprise Systems, Business Reporting Systems, External Data Sources
- Data Analysis – Core Statistics, Excel
- Critical Thinking – Ability to explore & evaluate broad potential solution sets and provide objective data-driven recommendations
- Analytical Curiosity – Comfortable with and enjoys working in very detailed, data intense environment; logical, creative, puzzle-solving mentality
- Continuous Improvement Mentality
