As a Support Engineer 2nd Level Service you solve technically challenging questions and problems of our customers. You will search for and implement solutions in the proALPHA ERP system while maintaining close contact with our company's service consultants, developers and system engineers. You will communicate with our customers' IT managers via e-mail or telephone.
You will analyze errors and their causes in database structures and in the software with care and expertise
You will incorporate error corrections and patches into our customers' programs
You will ensure successful installation of the solution on the customer's servers via remote maintenance
You will document your analyses and results in order to prevent future errors and support our customers with your know-how in case of technical questions
You have successfully completed your studies in (business) computer science or similar or have a comparable education with corresponding professional experience
You are familiar with at least one modern programming language/development environment (e.g. C#, Java, ABL or similar)
Ideally, you have first experiences with relational database systems as well as object-oriented development and ERP or merchandise management programs
You are flexible and open for shift work
Your personal strengths are customer and team orientation, analytical skills and the ability to work in a structured and results-oriented manner
You align your actions with the needs of our customers, signal a willingness to provide service and communicate tactfully and confidently in English - knowledge of German or French is an advantage
