You have the chance to join a newly created team that will consist of database specialists. You will have the opportunity to support large customers on a daily basis from the French market. The team currently consists of 10 people and will grow.
Your day will mainly consist of two types of tasks: basic activities for our clients, which you will learn more about during the interview, and problem cases, which will be the subject of knowledge exchange with the junior team, e.g.
Installs maintain, administers, and tunes MySQL Server databases. Completes database back-ups and maintains backup procedures.
Maintains database high availability and the upkeep and availability of other Database systems as required.
Creates automation scripts to perform repetitive tasks and to ensure high data integrity. Serves as a backup to the Senior Database Administrator role.
Determines database management needs and recommends system upgrades as necessary. Ensures that databases are restored in a timely and efficient manner in the event of system failure.
Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
Participation with the on-call team schedule.

Responsibilities for this job role include, but are not limited to, installation and maintenance of the database system, installation of upgrades and patches, performance and capacity monitoring & management, and security compliance. Potential interaction with clients (internal or external) in order to understand and meet requirements for the delivery of services related to database products.
Requirements:
  • working experience of administering DB2 on Unix/Windows,
  • knowledge how to configure DB2,
  • knowledge of SQL,
  • knowledge of security policies for Unix & Windows servers,
  • ability to create DB2 backup and perform a restore,
  • experience of installing maintenance service to the DB2,
  • experience of installing software packages,
  • knowledge how to write shell scripts and Perl scripts,
  • fluent English,
  • readiness to learn new things and develop skills,
  • ability to work in a team
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Nice to have:
  • knowledge of Linux systems – RedHat, SUSE, CentOS, Fedora, and Unix systems: AIX, HP-UX, Solaris
  • knowledge of other relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, Maria DB, MySQL
  • knowledge of IBM Tivoli products (Netcool)
  • knowledge about filesystems in Unix and Windows systems
