    Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join its Transfer Agency Systems group. As a Senior Systems Analyst will work as part of a technical team responsible for delivering all IT project services for a demanding business. You will take part in the identification and definition of the requirements, design, development, testing and deployment of solutions as well as run communication to both business and technical audiences. As a Systems Analyst you will participate in all phases of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) from project scoping, planning and requirements definition to issues resolution, testing, training and implementation.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Facilitating communication between business users and technical teams 
    • Gathering requirements of proposed changes and helping set the scope definition 
    • Conducting analysis of applications and systems 
    • Writing and reviewing technical specification documentation which may include data modelling, dataflow diagramming, screen design, workflow analysis etc. 
    • Involvement in design and development process as well as in system and end-to-end testing 
    • Release communication (providing demonstrations to the users, writing release documentation, taking part in release meetings) 
    • Involvement in deployments and checkout of the solution 
    • Working with project managers, developers, testers and other specialists across multiple teams and locations to make sure that projects meet business needs 

    Qualifications: 

    • Undergraduate Degree (Accounting, Banking, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • High level of fluency in English (including on the telephone) 
    • 5+ years of analysis experience in software development projects 
    • Positive, can do attitude, open to change 
    • Previous experience of working in an international corporate environment 
    • Ability to take ownership and initiative 
    • Ability to work in and lead teams across multiple geographical locations 
    • Basic technical knowledge (e.g. programming skills, database design / SQL, application architecture) 
    • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle 
    • Highly organized and able to manage priorities and multiple work streams 

    Nice to have attributes: 

    • Previous financial services experience, specifically Investor Services / Transfer Agency 
    • Any previous experience in Agile such as Scrum or Kanban
