3PPlus is a growing international company with branches in Poland, Germany and Austria. Founded and run by experienced SAS consultants who grew tired of intransparent and doomed projects, pseudo-agile methodologies, endless meetings and dress codes.
As a member of the systems engineering team you will be responsible for:
- making sure the customers' BI platform consisting of 150+ servers is stable, efficient and its 30 000+ users can work with a smile on their face
- implementing new maintenance scripts (in Python/Bash)
- automating repetitive tasks for the Operations Team (in Python)
- rolling out changes to all servers/stages/environments (via Ansible)
- helping out in migrating the SAS platform to new infrastructure (cloud)
- communicating with customers and other teams
What do you need to bring in:
- strong Linux/Unix basics - 99% of our servers run on RHEL; you will have to know your way around
- basic experience in writing scripts - required for automating mundane tasks and rolling out changes
- good English (at least B2) - you'll need it to understand and be understood by our customers/counterparts
- willingness to learn and dive into new topics - we cover a wide area of technologies with new ones arriving at a constant pace
- strong sense of ownership - you have to proactively take over tasks AND (bring them to an end OR communicate if problems arise)
- an understanding that testing scripts on productive environments is *not* a good idea;)
Nice to have:
- German language skills
- Experience with SAS software
