    PURPOSE OF ROLE (Summary):

    Acts as a key point of contact for procurement activities for Lundbeck HQ and Affiliate Units.

    Supports Category Managers within assigned category/categories by:

    • Delivering optimal solutions for assigned tactical sourcing projects in line with Lundbeck standards ((right product/service, delivered on time, within agreed budget)
    • Contributing to the continued maintenance and development of the category/categories in scope (e.g. market research, contract management, process optimization, category planning)
    • Acting as a "BIP=Best Informed Person"  in e2e Procurement process 
    • Act as mentor and coach in the on boarding of new Buyers as well as a role model in the efficient use of sourcing processes, systems and tools


    • Is responsible for sourcing, negotiating terms and secure supply for all assigned goods and services within their specific threshold level and assigned Category/Categories
    • Ensures proactive alignment of sourcing activities with the relevant Group Sourcing Category Managers
    • Support development of category playbooks and execution of activities herein
    • Manages engagement of stakeholders during the tactical sourcing process
    • Is responsible for negotiating competitive purchasing contracts in compliance with applicable laws, Lundbeck’s Authorisation & Signing Policy and Code of Conduct
    • Develops detailed knowledge of the relevant sub categories of spend
    • Is responsible for understanding any current or planned sourcing projects which may influence buying behaviour
    • Is responsible for recording supplier data to support the implementation of consistent and harmonized KPIs
    • Initiates creation of new suppliers and the accuracy of existing supplier information
    • Is actively involved in contracts management within assigned spend category
    • Apply an integrated TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) Approach in all commercial aspects and decisions
    • Actively supports, promotes and implements corporate procurement procedures and policies in all daily activities and interactions
    • Lead or take part in improvements and creating best practices across categories and functions
    • Coaches and support development of team of Buyers (Senior Role)
    • Represents S2P Tactical Team in various Projects/ initiatives
    • Train new joiners (Team/other functions in BSC) regarding Sourcing e2e process, relevant system, tools
    • Masters or bachelor degree
    • 2 years of experience with Sourcing activities
    • Project management experience
    • Extensive knowledge of chemical raw materials; chemical background preferable
    • Experience in area of chemical-buying, raw materials is an asset
    • Broad understanding of the Sourcing/ Procurement end to end process
    • Experience in using e-Sourcing/ S2P platforms advantageous
    • Languages – English
    • Negotiation and supplier management skills
    • Capability to manage demanding stakeholders
