Your responsibilities

Imperial Brands is investing in building a Global Business Services Team. Working as part of the Finance Centre of Capability (CoC), the role is to be part of the Tax & Statutory Reporting team responsible for the Group’s compliance with internal and regulatory tax requirements.

Working within the newly formed Tax and Statutory Reporting team of Imperial Brands’ Centre of Capability this is a high-profile role responsible for tax and stats processes for one of the Tier 1 markets.This role will be responsible for the end-to-end processes for both Direct and Indirect tax reporting and Statutory Accounts via a mixture of in-house data providers and third party outsourced deliverable providers. The role is a new role established to provide the necessary resources and capability of the Tax & Statutory Reporting team within the Finance CoC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for local and group statutory reporting

• Owner of the data for income tax return

• Owner of the data & collection for VAT returns

• Responsible for accounting for income taxes

• Implement proposed business / process changes

• Responsible for operational reporting

• Responsible for Team Management

• Proactively drives individual and team performance to achieve results

Direct Reports:

• Tax/TB and Statutory Reporting Specialist

• Tax/TB and Statutory Reporting Analyst

Our requirements

  • 6-9 years of experience in tax, in the international environment - preferably SSC/BPO

  • Previous experience in line management (up to 10 people)

  • Very good understanding of data flows and accounting principles allowing for effective preparation of tax computations and statutory accounts

  • Previous experience / knowledge of ERP accounting systems i.e. SAP / CFIN

  • Ability to train and work collaboratively within a team, empower and motivate others to grow.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across an organisation and externally in order to resolve issues.

  • Great people skills – able to work with team members at all levels
