Your responsibilities

  • Execution of FEC operations related toglobally exited Customers or Customersqualified as ‘increased risk’ based on FECconcerns, within the respective FOST team viaensuring appropriate collection of availableCustomer data within ING Group, and reportingand escalating any issues identified to theGlobal FCC Head of AML or other relevantstakeholders

  • Facilitate CIRC discussions on the FEC risksof a Customer, the collection of Customerdata, calibration of findings and involvingrelevant stakeholders, prior to finalizingrecords and serve as a point of contact forthe business regarding globally exited orincreased risk Customers of multiple INGentities and related questions

  • Major projects, process improvements andfurther support of complex investigationswithin these projects, responsible forachieving the best possible result within afixed timeframe

  • Responsible for Quality Control (QC) of alltask performed within the FOST and executionof controls and oversight of ING’s InternalLists, aligned with agreed procedures

  • Managing the team to support and develop teammembers, identifying key talents, andassisting the team in facilitating greaterefficiency and timely production to highquality standards

  • Collecting and documenting detailed Customerdata to reflect completion and results ofdecisions taken with regard to Customer’sexiting or risk profile

Our requirements

  • You have 6+ years’ experience in AML/KYC (name / transaction /adverse media screening, anti-terrorism financing) and risk assessment,

  • You have proven experience with regard to risk-based investigations and analyzing Customers, drafting FEC risks recommendations and strong quality decisions on what to escalate and what not to escalate,

  • You have extensive experience in leading projects and providing reports and supporting documentation to Senior Managers/Directors/Board level individuals for review,

  • You have previous team leadership/management experience within an AML/KYC environment for a (major) financial institution,

  • You have prior experience in an oversight role on similar KYC and CDD projects for global financial institutions,

  • You are able to clearly and succinctly express ideas, facts and opinions. You can express them fluently both in speaking and writing, supported by appropriate tools,

  • You are able to identify problems, analyze key information and make connections in order to find appropriate solutions,

  • You can establish plans to determine tasks, priorities, and timelines and identifying the resources needed to achieve goals,

  • You are fluent in English, reading and writing.


  • Ability to multi-task, work to tight deadlines and prioritize effectively,

  • Ability to interact effectively with others across departments, regions, time zones and build consensus under time pressure,

  • Strong understanding of ING requirements and international standards related to KYC due diligence, Counter Financing Terrorism, AML, Sanctions and FEC,

  • Strong knowledge of Customer Due Diligence / Name screening / Transaction screening processes, including knowledge of applicable data protection rules regarding customer data sharing,

  • Excellent leadership skills, including good problem-solving skills and strong organization skills, as well as pro-active presence within the team and involvement in and commitment to the day-to-day activities and decisions of the team,

  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to support and develop team members, giving timely and constructive feedback, identifying and retaining key talents coaching skills, ability to motivate a team in a challenging environment,

  • You are a good communicator, being able to convey complex messages in simple ways to bring adherence to “why” change is required to achieve effective management of the change program,

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Experience in leading a (large) delivery team performing complex KYC-related reviews for global financial services firms and in running the day to day operations of similar projects.

  • Experience with different entity types including Wholesale, Mid Corp, Private Banking and Mass Retail.

  • Professional certification (CAMS, CFE, ICA or equivalent).
