About the project

As a member of TechOps engineering team, the successful candidate will be working closely with other team members as well as other teams within the organisation to support shared IT infrastructure, enhance the current shared applications and data stacks, design and develop the next generation platforms to provide technical support to business teams and solid shared foundation to the engineering teams.

Your responsibilities

  • Design and implement shared IT infrastructure services for the engineering teams

  • Design and implement the office network and security system

  • Manage internal servers and shared IT applications – both stand-alone and cloud

  • Manage shared IT infrastructure service costs, inventory and provide ad-hoc IT support for business and engineering teams

  • Manage XCaliber’s PKI infrastructure

  • Use external tools and service providers to extend capabilities of shared IT infrastructure services e.g Twillio, On-Call Calendars, PageDuty

  • Monitor and support shared IT infrastructure platform performance during daily operation

  • Participate in ServiceDesk Project by triaging and assigning tickets to Tribes. This includes help with Incident Reporting

  • Cooperate with Company’s Internal IT Support team in terms of Antivirus, Videoconferencing and others if possible

Our requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Linux operating system and server administration including but not limited to DNS, DHCP, NTP, package management, LDAP and Kerberos

  • Knowledge of AWS services

  • Knowledge of monitoring tools including but not limited to Grafana, AWS CloudWatch.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of network setup and management

  • Strong problem-solving skills

Optional

  • Possess excellent communication skills, needed for delivery of information both to technical teams as well as non-technical personnel

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment

  • Be highly motivated, with proven aptitude for learning new skills and keeping up to date with the latest technologies and industry changes

  • Be familiar with configuration management systems is a big plus

  • Knowledge of security best practises

  • Knowledge of GIT

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
