    Technical Release Manager (CDD)
    Location: Kraków

    FCR IT has been formed to enable HSBC to adopt and enforce the highest compliance and behavioral standards across the Group in an integrated way across lines of business at a global, regional and in-country level. A key programme objective is to embed the Financial Crime Risk controls across the full Customer Lifecycle. This will drive clarity on scope, accountabilities and the Target Operating Model for each country where HSBC operates.
     
    The Technical Release Manager co-ordinates and manages all functional and country activity for a specific country or region for the deployment of the CDD platform from a central point of view. The primary objective is to ensure the smooth transition from the development and test phases of the platform into production.
     
    The job holder will be responsible for creating and managing relationships with various areas in FCR and across business lines and across countries.
     
    This role and the associated IT team will work in close collaboration with business and regional deployment teams as well as agile development teams and central test functions.

     

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Global nature of the programmes and resulting complexity of stakeholder management
    • Significance of meeting the demands of and HSBC obligations to the various global regulatory bodies for the work streams across all Programmes
    • Cross-business line networks and complexities demanding single global solutions by client type
    • The role is an IT facilitation role operating between the business lines, the users and the development and test teams managing smooth deployments in to production.
    • The role is based in India as part of a global team managing global deployments.
    • Technical knowledge, business awareness and strong clear communications are all key attributes.
    • RTC/QC/Jira/Confluence
    • General network knowledge in a release environment
    • MS Office/Excel
    • Clarity or similar
    • Some or all : Websphere, Oracle, IBM BPM, MQ, Jenkins, Subversion (SVN), AppDynamics, Ansible.

    Requirements:

    • 10 years IT experience
    • Management of technical releases
    • Experience in delivering releases in both waterfall and agile projects
    • Process definition and continuous improvement of processes
    • Experience in delivering Compliance and Regulatory-based projects including AML, Transaction Monitoring, Client Onboarding and Screening,
    • Understanding of change frameworks, methodologies and best practice techniques
    • Understanding of external environments e.g. regulatory, political, competitors etc
    • Highly experienced in dealing with senior and executive sponsors and rationalising cross line of business priorities.
    • Experience of successful delivery with multiple external dependencies
    • Strong experience with changes being made to existing live systems, increasing criticality of planning, and risk management.    
    • Exposure to and understanding of a broad range of technologies
    • Systems integration experience
    • Communication with and support of technical delivery across multiple locations and time zones.
    • Facilitating delivery / release update meetings
    • Recognised PM/Agile qualification where possible
    • RTC/QC/Jira/Confluence
    • General network knowledge in a release environment
    • MS Office/Excel
    • Clarity or similar
    • Some or all : Websphere, Oracle, IBM BPM, MQ, Jenkins, Subversion (SVN), AppDynamics, Ansible.
    • Mature professional approach (representing the department externally) and clear and open communications.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of organisational planning, resource mobilisation and problem solving.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.
    • Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
    • Ability to bring analytical rigour and structure and effective solutions to poorly-defined problems
