Technical Support Engineer

For one of our International Client we are currently looking for a candidate on the position of Technical Support Engineer, whom is organized, passionate, and goal-oriented and having the responsibility of providing technical assistance and support related to one of our cloud solutions. Responds to queries, performs day-to-day administration, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problems, and determines and implements solutions.
 
 
Main responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance
  • Manage help desk support portal tickets
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process if applicable
  • Perform system or user administration if applicable
  • Perform simple bug fix if applicable
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel if applicable
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
  • Follow-up and update customer status and information
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
  • Pass on enhancement requests by customers to the appropriate internal team
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
  • Ensure all tickets are properly documented and logged
  • Prioritize and manage several open tickets at one time
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their solution is fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
  • Maintain jovial relationships with clients

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
  • Good understanding of computer systems and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (eg. Zendesk, MSP)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
  • Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus
  • Angular, Java, JavaScript, JQuery, and RPA and Web(Desirable)
