As a Level 2 Technical Support Engineer, you’ll provide technical assistance to customers. You’ll be responsible for understanding customer's problem, diagnosing the issue, finding a workaround or finally providing permanent fix with the help of development team.
Your roles and responsibilities:
Work as a part of a world-wide team to provide remote technical support to IBM clients using products which are part of the IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) software portfolio.
Work with experienced analysts, consultants and development to resolve difficult technical problems.
Investigate and replicate technical issues for clients worldwide, provide temporary solutions and report defects.
Contribute technical content to internal knowledge bases and external client community.
Computer Science or technology related degree.
Strong analytical skills.
High level of communication skills (verbal and written).
Fluent verbal and written English.
Willingness to work in a global team cross geographies (follow-the-sun model).
Willingness to take over about 5 stand-by duty service weeks per year.

One or more operating systems (z/OS, AIX, Linux, Windows)
One or more programming languages (Java, C++, scripting languages, z/OS Assembler)
IBM Integration Bus (formerly WebSphere Message Broker) technology
DB2 database and SQL technologies
WebSphere Application Server technology
Modern and legacy payment systems, in particular SWIFT messaging expertise
