Seasoned technical writer. Assesses, analyzes, challenges and documents product features. Supports (local) team with complex, non-standard issues.
Production and reviewing estimates of time to be spend on technical documentation as input to the overall cost estimation of the project;
Assuring an in-depth understanding of the DN portfolio and documentation requirements;
Autonomously producing high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience;
Evaluating training needs and requests and assuring that proper training materials are produced and maintained;
Conducting technical product trainings for internal teams and customers;
Creating and maintaining the information architecture and master data;
Reviewing the work of technical writers and assuring consistency with standards and guidelines;
Acting as single point of contact for internal teams regarding additional requests, evaluating and dispatching the work;
Creating documentation and collaterals for complex requests;
Organizing best practice sharing and implementing new processes, formats and guidelines.
An associate’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Journalism or Engineering with a background or training in computer science;
minimum of three years of experience as a technical writer producing technical documents for software;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good authoring, editing, and proof-reading, skills.
Proven document organizing and structuring capabilities for writing technical documents, such as Configuration guides and API documents etc.
thorough knowledge of technical writing concepts;
ability to comprehend technical concepts with experience in creating end-user and system-level documentation for complex systems;
proficiency in conducting technical interviews and drawing out information relevant for end users;
thorough understanding of the Document Development Life cycle (DDLC) with respect to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
Experience in working in cross-functional, cross-geography product/content development setup.
