About the team:
Managed Upgrade Accelerator team services banks and corporations in EMEA, Americas and APAC region by delivering professional service that ensures our customers remain on a supported treasury system version through regularly scheduled upgrades funded on a flat monthly subscription basis. We work with FIS Treasury products, highly sophisticated treasury systems that help corporations and financial institutions manage cash and risk including debt and investments, interest rate and currency movements and connectivity for complex treasury departments.
The global Managed Upgrade Accelerator team is servicing Fortune 500 and other well-known companies worldwide. A positive customer experience means everything to us. Your responsibilities
The role of Junior Technology Business Consultant will encompass the project responsibilities related to managing and executing the Treasury Management System upgrades. You will be working very closely with the client, often involving custom configuration. Managed Upgrade Accelerator team is focused on solution optimization and delivering projects meeting the organization’s specific needs.
Managing projects of Treasury Management System upgrades at client environments including handling timelines and customer expectations
Based on your skillset (e.g. treasury, cash management, accounting, capital markets) you will provide specialist knowledge to the MUA team and customers as well as you will be expected to extend your knowledge to other functional and technical areas
Providing training to MUA clients on new functionalities
Overseeing application issues, IT issues and communication within FIS and client’s organization
Thrive to deliver quality, can’t wait to find a problem, figure out why it exists and, of course, solve it
Be able to deliver against aggressive targets
Be able to manage situations that others view as a crisis and steering a course through situations that result in a positive outcome
Manage client’s expectations; deliver news and plans to clients in such a way that ensures client support, managing any given situation
Work with other consultants in a supportive and collaborative way
A working consultant - someone who roles up their sleeves and gets the job done rather than oversight only
Will not require supervision but assess situations and call for assistance when required
Ability to work hours to fulfil role as a consultant which will from time to time require work to be performed outside of normal business hours
Our requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or IT, Computer Science
Some experience in consulting and/or software application implementations in a Treasury or Banking context
Proven understanding of the Corporate Treasury space
Good knowledge and understanding of financial operational and business processes
Knowledge of basics financial instruments (FX, MM, IRS, FRA, Bonds etc.)
Presentation, communication, and documentation (technical and functional) skills
Ability to take complete ownership of projects including all relevant fundamentals such as risk and issue management
Understanding of databases (SQL and/or Oracle), distributed technology, tiered applications required and ability to interrogate databases or willingness to learn these skills
Perfectly fluent in English. A second European language is an advantage
Optional
Strong technical and functional awareness of the entire FIS Treasury Management Systems product suite
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Exposure to technologies (XML, MsSQL, Oracle, SAP Crystal)
Experience with testing and documenting test results
Knowledge of the technology industry and its ever-evolving trends
Experience in understanding current consulting and project management practices
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to take the initiative and work independently or in a team
