Your responsibilities
Role overview: Data and FTA team is part of a Global Trade Compliance Service and is responsible for tariff codes, country of origin, export controls and license and permits determination. The service also provides consistent qualification of preferential origin, which drives maximum benefit from each free trade agreement that GSK uses. Trade Compliance Data & FTA Specialist will provide a timely and effective service globally across all business units to ensure compliant data is provided at each border crossing and is compliant with all applicable local laws and free trade agreements
Responsibilities: Support the effective movement of products to and from ALL countries GSK operate in and ALL business units through the delivery of Trade compliance data according to SLA’s agreed with customers
Determine all GSK trade compliance data including HTS classification, Country of Origin and ECCN/ECN
Support preferential origin qualification process
Management of Long-Term Suppliers’ Declarations
Engage with internal and external stakeholder with regards to Data and FTA matters
Maintenance of a central trade compliance database with compliant data, ensuring alignment to ERP system
Report service issues and risks and deal within a timely manner. Escalate issues with proposed mitigations to service lead
Identify, define & deploy key projects and initiatives to address performance gaps and continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery
Perform impact analysis of changes to global/local regulations on GSK data
Identification and management of export-controlled products and ensuring those controls are communicated to the respective areas of the business to manage the potential risk for GSK
Our requirements
Science, chemistry or trade compliance related degree
Strong trade compliance knowledge
Experience in HTS classification, country of origin and export control (experience in pharmaceutical or chemical industry would be a plus)
Working knowledge of Free Trade agreements and preferential origin rules
Demonstrated attention to detail
Strong customer focus
Good communication skills
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyse and process data
Good Excel skills
Ability to work within a team
Advanced English skills
