    Trade Finance Specialist (Bank Guarantees)
    Workplace: Kraków
    ABB Group is having a global Export & Trade Finance organization with a center of competence in Zurich, dealing with different instruments such as Bank Guarantees, Parent Company Guarantees, Documentary Letters of Credit (LC) and other Short, Medium & Long term financing solutions. An integral part of the management process is Trade Finance Link (TFL), a state of the art global trade finance application allowing harmonized handling of bank/parent guarantees and letters of credit, management of bank limits and electronic direct connectivity of ABB to its core banks. The ABB Group is supported by a back office function in Krakow, Poland supporting country local treasury organizations in processing and maintaining bank guarantees. We are looking for a person to become part of this team.

    Tasks:

    • Support the local treasury teams in various ABB operating countries with the issuance and monitoring process of bank and parent company guarantees. This would include mainly the following work;
      • Processing guarantee issuances, amendments, cancellations, utilizations, closing;
      • Processing of claims, reconciliation of bank fees and commissions;
      • Communication on Bank Guarantee topics administration topics with ABB local treasury teams and Head Quarter;
    • Delegated reporting / Creation of specific reports/presentations for local management;
    • Guarantee related data housekeeping;
    • Supply feedback to Bank & Country KPIs, monitoring of bank service quality, development of bank relationship.

    Requirements:

    • 1-3 years’ experience in handling/processing of Bank Guarantees is a must;
    • Excellent English skills to communicate with users from different countries and on different organization levels;
    • Solid user knowledge of MS office applications – Excel, Power Point, Word;
    • Other European languages (i.e. German, Italian, Swedish, etc.) not required but would be an advantage;
    • Analytical skills, conceptual & process oriented thinking, business savvy;
    • Some experience in the handling and processing of commercial Letters of Credit not required but would be considered an advantage.
    • Fast learning and process oriented thinking;
    • Team player with the ability to evaluate priorities;
    • Customer oriented;
