Your responsibilities
Produce and support Traded Risk reporting & analysis including: portfolio monitoring, production of periodic & ad hoc MI, written commentary for Risk Committee papers and presentations, Audit, Regulatory and Group response support, specialized & event driven analysis as well as the development and build out of risk system architecture
Work on ad-hoc requests from onshore business partners to provide data, report and analysis based on business and Senior Management requirements
Prepare the monthly inputs for the Risk Management meetings and Board meetings
Assist on Traded Risk businesses by providing accurate and useful risk tools
Provide oversight on regulatory related controls such as Volcker
Regularly manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
Assist with data quality issue detection to ensure accurate month end data
Drive process efficiency through automation and streamlining initiatives to improve turn-around time of report deliveries
Understand Traded Risk policy, procedures and guidelines to account for changing regulatory, economic and political environments. Analyse related reports to manage risk
Our requirements
University graduate in finance, mathematics, computer science or any other quantitative related degrees
Preferably international financial/risk accreditation e.g. CFA, FRM, PRM
5+ years of relevant experience in banking e.g. Risk, Product Control, Front Office, Middle Office
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must
Experience working with MI visualization tools such as Business Objects/ Tableau / Qlikview
Desirable working knowledge of software/database development tools (VBA, Python, SQL, etc.)
Be change oriented and able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines
Ability to deal in a multi-stakeholder relationship in a complex environment
Strong interpersonal skills with positive attitude are essential
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong eagerness to learn and grow along with the capacity to work collaboratively as a team
Excellent presentation skills to brief senior management on topics and summarize key information

About the role
This role resides under Traded & Treasury Risk Management function and is part of the Global Risk Organisation.
Traded Risk function monitors, evaluates and manages market and counterparty risks impacting across the HSBC Group. It is responsible for establishing the global risk management framework for Traded Risk and plays a key role in ensuring that the Bank is compliant with current and future regulatory requirements relating to Traded Risks and their capitalization.
Traded Risk Process Manager is a results-driven individual with an understanding of risk data, process, analysis and systems that aspires to innovate, improve and embed solutions that enable effective risk management.
