The Stena Recycling Trainee Program, starting September 5th 2022, is a unique opportunity to use your potential and build your career while contributing to something of real value.
The purpose of the program is to provide ambitious young professionals with a structured framework and on-the-job training, as well as hands-on education and invaluable experiences.
Using your potential, you’ll embark on a trainee journey designed around your potential, your passion, and your strengths. From start to finish, you’ll experience a varied and challenging program with lots of fun!
The program is designed to be both a digital and on-the-job experience.
Examples of program content:
•Learn about our value chain, focusing on sustainability and recycling
•Hands-on training within our branches to learn our core business from the ground up
•Leadership training
•Functional and cross-functional assignments, such as leading improvement projects, building business cases, create and analyze market reports and participate in sales processes
•Travelling nationally and internationally, exchanging experiences with our Stena Recycling companies
After your trainee period you will have gained a deep understanding of our business, developed your personal skills and be ready to take the next step forward with us. Together we will create a career with purpose, based on your aspirations and on our business needs.
Our requirements
A Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree from fields such as Production Technology, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Economy, Environmental Engineering, Material Processing Technology, Industrial Business or similar
Maximum 2 years of relevant full-time working experience after completing your degree
Fluent Polish and English communicative skills
Driving license (cat. B)
Willingness to work fulltime
Willingness to take business trips both nationally and internationally (about 60-70%)
Truly identify with our employee-ship values – being a team player, having a positive attitude, being a problem-solver and staying curious and alert
Can manage and analyze complex situations and see the larger picture
Have an interest in circular economy and sustainability
Are business oriented and skilled with numbers and mathematics
Are committed to a future career within Stena Recycling
Optional
Previous experience from LEAN
Knowledge in/previous work experience from waste materials such as plastics
An interest in digital transformations

We use assessments early in the process because they help us measure and find potential in a non-bias, inclusive and objective way. If we turn out to be a good match for one another, we will get access to your application and go forward with several candidates for a digital, competency-based interview (which will be held in Polish and English).
