    The individual will have oversight over all aspects of managing and processing Settlement & Custody fees (SCF) incurred by the firm, mainly through unique Transaction Expense Management System (EXCALIBUR). EXCALIBUR is a key system to make Credit Suisse best in a class in variable expense efficiency among our peers. The platform gives our user community the transparency and leverage needed to strategically handle and optimize the $1.8 billion BCE (Brokerage, Clearing & Exchange) & SCF expenses that the bank incurs annually. This role being a part of wider Global Markets Operations is key to identify and drive fundamental efficiency improvement projects across various divisions.

    The Specialist will be expected to:

    • Understand the mix of service provider services and their respective utilization to support comparison and selection of the optimal service provider in each market.
    • Ensure a fair and equitable allocation of expenses based on actual service usage.
    • Assume responsibility over the data integrity and month end activities in the system for his/her product area.
    • Assume responsibility for the successful onboarding of vendors onto the EXCALIBUR system for the respective products and regions under his/her remit.
    • Take responsibility for the reconciliation of monthly balance sheet in accordance with GLAO guidelines and provide related reporting and control insight to manager for Supervisory sign off.
    • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes in conjunction with team manager and development lead.
    • Identify and document IT issues and/or required enhancements related to the EXCALIBUR platform to IT on an ongoing basis and provide consolidated reports to development lead.
    • Partner with the Efficiency Group by providing updates on rates and other key information necessary to deliver actionable saving ideas.
    • Ensure invoices are coded accurately and processed in a timely manner.
    • Maintain a flexible and positive attitude in delivering on the objectives of the team and the wider BC&E function.

    • Excellent organizational skills as well as English communication skills both oral and written.   
    •  Accounting background (1-2 Years experience)
    •  Invoice processing experience (AP/AR) beneficial
    • Consistent record of being able to multi-task and deliver polished and accurate output to key clients.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize, multitask and be effective and dedicated.
    • Service oriented, enthusiastic attitude and ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.
    • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and desire to work in a fast-paced and high pressured environment.
    • Highly self-motivated self-starter, focused and enthusiastic with a great appetite to learn.
    • Strong analytical skills and can-do approach to problem solving with confirmed ability to develop and implement solutions.
