    Transport Procurement Specialist
    Location: Madrid

    Position Description


    The Transport Procurement Specialist (Region) will be responsible for purchasing transport capacities at optimum rate and service level through the spot market in BluJay. This includes calling transporters and negotiating prices per load. Beside this procurement function the second area of responsibility will be dispatching the dedicated fleet at optimum cost and empty distance level.

    Major / Key Accountabilities

    • Purchase transport capacities to serve our customers with the lowest impact on our cost KPI's through the spot market (BluJay)
    • Ensure procurement matching order requirements
    • Close cooperation between Planning and Carrier Management in order to improve the spot market %
    • Dispatching of dedicated fleet
    • Cost and performance monitoring and escalation
    • Active participation in achieving corporate, departmental and personal targets
    • Stay abreast of transportation industry changes
    • Communicate and work effectively with all levels of the business in a matrix managed organization


    Commercial education in Logistics Services / Supply Chain - university degree for Logistics / Supply Chain will be an asset


    Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar responsibility managing transport services
