Transportation Reporting Analyst

As the Transportation Reporting Analyst you will be responsible for management of different data-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, you will generate and provide cost and performance-related reports to the T&L Management team and stakeholders.

Candidates for this role should possess strong critical thinking skills and have a demonstrable ability to not only solve problems, but also to help implement those solutions throughout the business. Ideal candidates should have previous experience in projects related to systems and data. The candidate should also be proactive, team-oriented, possess good interpersonal communication skills, and demonstrate an enthusiasm and passion for the work that underscores the candidate’s dedication to pioneering improvement and to driving change.

Your responsibilities

  • Development of tools to support T&L teams. Train users when required and monitor ongoing data quality
  • Design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions
  • Prepare and analyze transportation related cost savings and performance reports
  • Track and investigate cost reduction results – actual versus plan
  • Review available data and evaluate effectiveness of internal processes
  • Recommend and coordinate initiatives to continuously improve data and reporting processes and tools
  • Participate in data/system-related projects, driving and implementing required changes
  • Support management team in strategic plans definition and relevant implementation

Your background

  • Candidates with +5 years of business intelligence, data analysis, project management or similar experience are encouraged to apply
  • Extensive knowledge/advanced skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, VBA) preferred
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts, SQL queries and BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI)
  • Experience in data integration projects will be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Highly motivated, results oriented, able to learn quickly, ability to ask questions and challenge assumptions
  • Data analysis/systems knowledge
  • Transportation industry knowledge will be a plus
