As we are growing and expanding our company and business, we are looking for a talented team member to join the EMEA VAT Compliance & Reporting team in Warsaw. The role is designed for individuals who have proven experience in VAT area and want to join a team that values and promotes proactive attitude and creative ideas!

As VAT Analyst your main responsibilities will be:
  • Timely and accurate preparation and filing of VAT returns, Intrastat reports, EC Sales Lists, as applicable for selected EMEA countries, including extraction and analysis of data from SAP;
  • Coordination of the tax payments derived from the VAT filings and ensure VAT refunds are received;
  • Preparation of reconciliations and clean-up of VAT accounts on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis, as deemed applicable;
  • Coordinate the information flow to and from the Finance team and the local tax advisors as applicable;
  • Documentation, implementation and improvement of processes and flows of information for the purpose of generating VAT returns;
  • Act as a point of contact for and provide support on any tax related questions from colleagues and stakeholders (e.g. EMEA Finance and Tax, tax authorities, etc.).
  • Keep updated with regards to changes that impact tax within Solenis. Communicate those changes to the corresponding stakeholders;

Requirements:

  • Degree (min. bachelor) in Finance, Tax and/or Accounting or equivalent documented job experience trained at an accountancy firm and/or in a multinational company;
  • 2-5 years of relevant working experience in a tax practice (experience in an international tax practice or as an in-house VAT specialist within an international company is an advantage);
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of any other language(s) is a plus;
  • Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Power Point. Knowledge of SAP is a plus;
  • Strong numerical understanding, analytical skills with detail orientation;
  • Ability to work independently and proactively;
  • Organized, capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines;
  • Team player, service minded, flexible, enthusiastic, informal, perseverant, able to find solutions;
  • Unimpeachable integrity.
