Vendor Manager – English Speaking (and Polish Speaking) based in Krakow, Poland

An exciting opportunity has arisen to come on board with GP Strategies team as a Vendor Manager in our Krakow office.
As a Vendor Manager you will be responsible for vendor management activities and accountabilities within the Training Services Sector for our leading blue chip Pharma client.
The individual is expected to deliver a high quality service at a price that’s exceeds our clients expectations. Based out of our Polish Office in Krakow you will work with our many varied clients.
 
Summary: Responsible for vendor management activities and accountabilities in the Training Services Sector. Representing both GP Strategies and our client’s best interests and delivering a high quality service at a price that exceeds their expectations.

What you will do…
Duties and Responsibilities
The Vendor Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

Strategic Vendor Management:
Demonstrates commodity expertise in the Training Services arena with a proven background of obtaining top end supplier performance, delivering process improvements and achieving financial and operational performance.
Acts as a primary liaison with client stakeholders to ensure best business and contractual terms are achieved with total cost optimisation.
Works with vendors to drive sustainable cost savings.
Understands and contributes to the client Training Services strategies by utilising the vendor base as a source of best in class ideas and recommendations through the development of vendor relationship management.
Develops and updates current purchasing policies where requested.

Tactical Vendor Management
Assists the client and the internal GP Strategies Account Manager in the analysation of services required and defining the client’s requirements in a clear and concise manner to find the best sourcing solutions.
Research’s products, services and market prices for budgetary client consideration if needed and performs benchmarking exercises when required.
Develops and manages the RF(x) bid process, leads pricing and business term negotiations and performs supplier management evaluations post contract award.
Demonstrates an ability to work with GP Strategies Legal Services to negotiation legal contract exceptions taken by the vendor base and that favourable commercial terms and conditions are concluded and aligned to GP Strategies business requirements. Upon contract completion, establishes statement of works with external vendors clearly defining the relationship between GP and the vendor
Manages contract portfolios to ensure that commercial obligations and Service Level Agreements are met and the process for renewal or replacing of existing contracts is proactively managed. Ensures vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations by delivering quality products and services on time and that vendor invoices are paid in accordance with contract payment terms
Secondary Responsibilities (GP Strategies Requirements)
To act in accordance with your confidentiality agreement with the company at all times
To communicate with internal and external agencies, staff, customers, management and peers in a manner appropriate to your position at all times
To make decisions and implement actions, involving customers, employees, suppliers, partners and peers, which are in accordance with the values of the Company
Ensures that the system for maintaining/checking licences and business insurance of employees who travel on company business and the roadworthiness of their vehicles is maintained in line with Company policy

You will have… 
Proven expertise and already skilled within procurement and contract administration role
You have ability to work with minimal direct supervision as a self-starter and have great written and verbal communication abilities including presentation skills
The ability to communicate in English and Polish – speaking and writing is essential
Negotiation skills, judgment and selection (are key)
Great business acumen and team player
You possess negotiation skills and judgement and selection
Information Analysis
Knowledge of business and management principles
Very detail oriented
You are confident and skilled in Microsoft Office packages especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proven expertise in communication with both internal and external 3rd party business partners
Proven vendor management, procurement purchasing, contract administration is essential
Enthusiasm, drive and self-motivation
Willing to travel with role
